Andhra Pradesh Backward Classes Public Welfare Association founder president Guduri Venkateswara Rao on Wednesday asked both the Union and the State governments to take up caste census so that the fruits of reservations would be distributed in accordance with the population of respective communities. Addressing the media conference here, he alleged successive governments were suppressing BCs by denying their legitimate rights and jobs. He urged all backward classes to come under one umbrella to protect their rights guaranteed by the Indian Constitution. The Association’s Vizianagaram district president Taddi Srinivasa Rao, vice-presidents Mullu Pydi Naidu and Valluri Gowri Naidu, and others were present.
