A multi-sports arena was inaugurated at the Sowdambikaa Mount Litera Zee School in the city recently.
The facility includes an artificial football turf spread over 21,000 sq. ft; two synthetic tennis courts; two synthetic basketball courts; a synthetic skating rink and a synthetic volleyball court.
The arena was inaugurated by V. Varunkumar, Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Tiruchi Range. S. Ramamoorthiy, Chairman, and Chenthur Selvan, Secretary Sowdambikaa Group of Institutions, and Shivagami Vijayakumar, Academic Director, were present, according to a press release from the school. The school will be renamed as Sowdambikaa World School from the next academic year, the released added.
