Vijayawada MP Kesineni Shivnath (Chinni), as a part of his plans to develop 294 villages in his parliamentary constituency, has selected 100 young men and women for self-employment training with the support of National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (NIRDPR).
In the first phase, 33 youth from various mandals of Tiruvuru, Mylavaram, Jaggayyapeta and Nandigama constituencies were sent by a bus to Hyderabad on Sunday (February 9) for a week-long training programme to be held from February 10 to 16 at the NIRDPR.
The bus was flagged off from NTR Bhavan by A.P. Building and Other Construction Workers Advisory Committee chairman Gottumukkala Raghurama Raju, Arya Vysya Development Corporation chairman Doondi Rakesh and former Mayor Koneru Sridhar.
Kesineni Foundation, using its funds, will provide a monthly stipend of ₹10,000 to the youth attending the training and has already paid ₹15 lakh to NIRDPR for the week-long training programme, according to sources. The trained youth are expected to contribute to the development of their respective villages. Once they return, they will identify the needs of their villages and submit them to the MP, who will address them accordingly, said a press release from the MP’s office.
