The Indian Army, in coordination with multiple agencies, continues its efforts in the operation at Srisailam Left Bank Tunnel (SLBC) tunnel to facilitate critical restoration work, as per a press release.
A night shift team, along with other agencies, entered the tunnel on Tuesday (March 4, 2025) evening and returned before noon on Wednesday. Meanwhile, a morning shift team commenced operations at 7:50 a.m. on Wednesday to sustain the momentum of ongoing efforts.

Indian Army personnel participate in the dewatering process in the SLBC tunnel on Tuesday.
The Engineering Task Force (ETF) of the Army is actively engaged in key tasks, including dewatering, desilting, debris removal, installation of conveyor belts, cutting and shifting of Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) components, and handling other heavy equipment. To support these operations, the Army has deployed two excavators.
