The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Friday condemned the DMK government for having deprived government school students in the State of learning a third language.
In a statement, Yuvaraj Dhamodaran, State secretary of the ABVP, said the DMK and its allies in Tamil Nadu were spreading a false propaganda that the National Education Policy imposed Hindi. However, the policy made learning of mother tongue mandatory in all boards.
“When a third language is being taught in private schools, why can’t government school students learn one more language,” he asked.
