Two officers of the District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force (DANSAF) sustained minor injuries while attempting to arrest a suspected drug peddler near the Government General Hospital in Kozhikode on Monday.
The incident occurred around noon when the police tried to take the suspect, Shahan Shah Elias, into custody. He reportedly attacked them with a knife before being overpowered with the help of officers from the Vellayil police station.
