Working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) K.T. Rama Rao has alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has unveiled a transferable development rights (TDR) scam in the city, and the conspiracy of buying the TDR offered by GHMC and HDMA are being bought by four real estate brokers who are close to Mr. Reddy.
In an informal chat with newspersons, he stated that they were purchasing the TDRs at low price now and they planned to get the FSI (floor space index) guidelines in their favour with the help of the government.
He demanded that the government publish a white paper on the TDRs. Accusing Mr. Reddy of acting as the covert of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana, the BRS leader said the comments of AICC leader Rahul Gandhi recently that there were some BJP coverts in Congress were indirectly aimed at Mr. Reddy.
Mr. Rama Rao pointed out that it was with a hidden agenda Mr. Reddy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the name of 11 proposals for funds to the State and sent his Cabinet colleague D. Sridhar Babu out to have a one-on-one meeting with Mr. Modi recently.
On the Backward Classes reservation issue, he suggested the Chief Minister go on a fast-unto-death in Delhi if he is sincere on getting 42% reservation to the BCs. Amending the Constitution is not a big deal in case the BJP and Congress are agreeable on the BC quota, he said.
He said the BRS had given an opportunity to Dasoju Sravan in the MLC elections based on his credentials and role in the Telangana movement. He stated that BRS Legislature Party leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao would attend the Assembly during the coming session.
