Addressing a press conference on the temple premises on Friday, Mr. Rao said that the Chief Minister laid the foundation for the temple in 2019. Construction began on February 10, 2019, and was completed in 2022.
Following several appeals from devotees, TTD decided to organise the ‘Srinivasa Kalyanotsavam’ grandly on the above date, and arrangements have begun. He said an estimated 20,000 devotees were expected to attend the event.
The TTD EO said the event was being widely publicized throughout the capital region, and cultural programs would be held under the aegis of the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad and Annamacharya Project.
Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) Commissioner K. Kannababu, Collector S. Nagalakshmi, Endowments Commissioner V. Vinay Chand, Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar and Joint Collector A. Bhargav Teja were present.
