Telangana Education Commission, constituted in September 2024 to revamp and strengthen the education sector in the State, on Saturday met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and submitted its report.
TEC Chairman Aakunuri Murali, members P.L. Visveswara Rao, Charagonda Venkatesh and Jyotsna Shiva Reddy, who toured the districts in the State over the past few months and met various stakeholders, brought out the report covering issues challenging the education sector from pre-primary to the university level.
The TEC, discussing the findings, explained that pending bills of mid-day meal scheme at government schools and infrastructure for efficient functioning of schools needed immediate attention. The existing government schools need support and development initiatives like the newly planned integrated residential schools.
The TEC said that Mr. Reddy has assured of the government’s commitment to education sector, making foundational and infrastructural developments at schools and all measures to strengthen education system in the State.
