Large parts of Telangana continued to experience high temperatures with 25 out of 33 districts recording maximum temperatures above 40°C. According to data from the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS), Rebbena in Kumaram Bheem Asifabad reported the highest temperature at 41.4°C.
Bellampally in Mancherial followed closely with 41.3°C, while Adilabad Rural (Adilabad), Ghanpur (Jayashankar Bhupalpally), and Naspur (Mancherial) registered 41.2°C. Other areas experiencing extreme heat included Mugpal (Nizamabad) at 41.1°C and Kubeer (Nirmal) at 41°C. An additional 18 districts recorded temperatures ranging between 40°C and 41°C.
Even Hyderabad was not spared, with Maredpally reaching 40°C. In the surrounding region, Ghatkesar in Medchal-Malkajgiri reported 40.1°C.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), in its bulletin on Tuesday (March 18, 2025), forecast no major change in maximum temperatures over the next two days. However, a slight drop is expected thereafter.
For the next 24 hours, Hyderabad is likely to witness a partly cloudy sky with misty or hazy conditions during the morning hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 38°C and 22°C, respectively, the bulletin said.
